Hi, I’m Alyssa. Welcome to Juniper Beach Candles.

My love for the Washington Coast started when I was young, spending summers at my family’s beach cabin on Juniper Beach, where some of my favorite memories were made. Those summers were filled with days near the water, watching the tides come and go and enjoying a much slower pace of life.

I didn’t realize it then, but those summers shaped so much of what I value now: simplicity, time with family, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

Before starting Juniper Beach, I worked as a registered nurse and later transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom to my two boys. After going through infertility treatments before having our first son, I found myself paying much closer attention to what we brought into our home and becoming more intentional about the choices I made for our family.

Candle making became a creative outlet during this new chapter of life. I was drawn to the process — learning about the materials, exploring fragrance combinations, and eventually making my own hemp wicks by hand. Over time, what started as something I simply loved making grew into Juniper Beach Candles.

From the beginning, I wanted to create candles I would genuinely want in my own home — thoughtfully made with carefully chosen materials, beautiful fragrances, and a simple, understated design.

The name Juniper Beach felt natural. It brings me back to a place that holds so many meaningful memories and still reflects much of what inspires the products I make today.
